March 2026 - The Month of “In-Between”
3 Ways to Ease Uncertainty in the Liminal Space
February was the Slow Season — an invitation to rest and listen.
March, on the other hand, is the beginning of the thaw. Not a sudden transformation, but a quiet return of energy, clarity, and excitement.

The theme for March is something in between. We’re not yet at our destination, but no longer in rest or hibernation either.
We’re awakening — stretching, feeling excitement bubble underneath — and yet still struggling to find where that excitement belongs. The days are longer but still short, the temperatures chilly, the energy only beginning to come back online.
March is the month we all need. We may not love the feeling of having one foot in both worlds, but this space — this vessel — is where transformation refines itself.
A Little Bread Metaphor (Stay With Me)
Recently, I started baking bread. Late to the party- per usual.
I know — that’s a bit of a leap. You’re probably feeling a little literary whiplash right now, but hang on.
For all of my (two?!) readers who are likely more experienced bakers than I am, I am thinking of March as a sourdough starter in a jar. You mix the flour and water together, and now they’re fermenting and growing — getting bubbly. That’s March. It’s the point when your efforts, your choices, your momentum begin to pick up speed — even if it doesn’t look like much is happening.
Just think about that starter: two simple ingredients that look like nothing — until they begin to bubble and grow. You can’t rush the process, and you can’t force the outcome. This stage requires patience and faith, because what looks like goop in a jar is literally the beginning of something special coming to life.
So, What Can You Do in This Season of Waiting?
-
Settle Into Patience: It will be tested — hard and often. We humans struggle with the in-between because it’s weird, heavy, and uncertain. So take a breath. Notice what comes up in your body — the stress, the anxiety, the doubt — and give it a healthy outlet. A deep breath. A walk outside. A spontaneous dance break. A good cry. A meaningful talk with a friend. Whatever helps you release and reset.
2. Find Your Faith:
Here’s the truth:
When fear gets loud, faith feels non-existent.
When faith gets loud, fear fades away.
So, when life is quiet or uncertain, return to your foundation. And no, faith doesn’t have to mean religion.
Faith is simply believing that things are unfolding as they should. That all will be well. That possibility is alive and working in your favor.
3. Keep Showing Up:
If you mix flour and water and expect magic right away, you’ll never bake bread. But if you feed it faithfully, keep it in the right environment, and trust the process, transformation (and bread!) happens.
The same goes for you.
However, if you check out or get inconsistent when life feels uncertain, momentum stalls. If you keep showing up, following your plan, and leading with integrity, you’ll grow into what you’re meant to become — in time.
If March feels heavy and confusing, it’s not that something is wrong. You’re in the difficult but necessary liminal space, or in-between.
This in-between phase is a normal part of change and growth. It’s where doubt gets loud, patience gets tested, faith feels far away, and giving up feels like relief. And it’s also where you choose consistency and faith — where you learn to keep going without needing constant proof that it’s working.
So don’t quit in the middle. Don’t abandon your vision just because you can’t see the finish line yet. Keep showing up in small ways that match the person you’re becoming.
And if you’re not sure what “showing up” looks like right now, come back to the three steps:
- Settle into patience — breathe, release the anxiety, and let this season be what it is.
- Feed your faith — an unshakeable belief that things are unfolding as they should.
- Keep showing up — because giving up will never get you where you want to go.
You don’t need a perfect plan. You need consistency — and a willingness to stay with yourself while it’s coming together.
“Trust the wait. Embrace the uncertainty. Enjoy the beauty of becoming. When nothing is certain, anything is possible.” — Mandy Hale
